Dourdan Fined For Disturbing The Peace
Actor Gary Dourdan pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace in a Los Angeles court room last week and was fined $100. The actor, who is best known for his work on the television series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" from 2000 to 2008, was reportedly under the influence of the drug OxyContin last June when he smashed into two parked cars. Law enforcement agents at the scene arrested Dourdan for the possession of the drug. Prosecutors in the case allowed Dourdan to plead guilty to disturbing the peace instead of charging him with drug possession, however, because the actor had previously completed 20 hours of Narcotics Anonymous. Prosecutors also agreed to dismiss a charge for the possession of drug paraphernalia. Dourdan is no stranger to legal troubles; the actor was also in court last December to answer to charges of domestic abuse after an altercation with his ex-girlfriend in which she claimed the actor broke her nose.
