Tomko Arrested On Drug Charges
Former professional wrestler Tyson Tomko was arrested on drug-related criminal charges last week after local law enforcement agents in Florida allegedly found him injecting drugs in a restaurant bathroom. Tomko, who worked with World Wrestling Entertainment from 2002 to 2009, is accused of robbing a local pharmacy as well. Tomko reportedly threatened to physically attack the pharmacist on duty unless he handed over several bottles of Oxycodone. The pharmacist complied by giving Tomko as much as 210 tablets of the powerful prescription painkiller. Tomko then, according to police reports, went to a nearby restaurant where he asked his waitress for several spoons. After getting a spoon that was "deep enough," Tomko disappeared into the men's restroom for more than 30 minutes. Local police were called to the restaurant and when they arrived, reportedly found Tomko with needle marks and blood running down his arm, having just flushed something down the toilet. Tomko was arrested immediately and told police that he had a "severe drug problem," and admitted having taken the Oxycodone pills from the pharmacy, though he denied having threatened the pharmacist. The former wrestler was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, then transferred to a county jail where he was booked for robbery.
