Simpson Under Investigation For Marijuana

Professional football player Jerome Simpson is under investigation after law enforcement officials tracked a large package of marijuana that had been shipped to his house. Simpson, who famously front-flipped into the end zone over a defender from the opposing Arizona Cardinals for a touchdown in a game on Christmas Eve, was at his Kentucky home when his girlfriend reportedly accepted a package that contained 2.5 pounds of marijuana. The package reportedly originated in Eureka, California and was singled out by drug-sniffing dogs at an airport in California. Though addressed to Jason Snider, the package was accepted. When local law enforcement officers showed up at Simpson's home, they found an additional six pounds of marijuana, smoking pipes and scales to weigh the drug. Though no arrests were made, officials believe that Simpson may have purchased the drugs and had them shipped to his home with the intent to sell them to others. Aside from Simpson's girlfriend, Cincinnati Bengals teammate Anthony Collins was also at Simpson's home when police showed up. No formal charges have been made in the case.
